THE 2014 EAST LANCASHIRE JUNIOR CHALLENGE TOUR.

The Challenge Tour for 2014 will combine the Merit Tables ( Gross & Nett) & Positional / Bonus Points for all entrants.

Junior Organisers are reminded to publicise their own open in good time to attract juniors to their clubs own Junior Open.
We also recommend clubs register their opens with GOLF EMPIRE to improve booking potential.

CLUB REQUIREMENT:- ( Clubs must register their willingness to participate with E.L.G.A.)

Club registrations for inclusion in the Challenge Tour will be based on a first come / first served basis whereby the first registered date for a junior open within the tour will be the only one accepted for the Tour.
Obviously this will not stop clubs from holding a junior open on the same day but could well effect your entry levels due to tour enthusiasm.


All scores - Gross & Nett plus the players own Club reference must be issued to the E.L.G.A Junior Organisers no later than 7 Days after the event itself in the unlikely event that E.L.G.A. is not in attendance.

- Subscriptions are set at £1.0 per player entry per junior open,
The number of entries will also set the Bonus Entry points awarded to each player who enter the competion.
Bonus Entry points will be Triple the standard allocation for our 9 Hole Clubs.

All receipts will be used for Prizes etc.for the CHALLENGE TOUR and presented to winning players at the year end E.L.G.A. Junior prize presentation night.

Please note that once a club has registered on the Tour , the host club is requested not to cancel the event for whatever reason before 7 days prior to the scheduled date.- E.L.G.A will then notify all member clubs respectfully.

Entry must be open to all juniors with an active CONGU handicap - Max H/Cap being 36 for the Tour however clubs may wish to modify the handicap limit for their own prizes/ trophies.

NOTE - E.L.G.A. normally will provide a presence throughout your day to assist in the competition administration and provide photographic coverage that will be used on the E.L.G.A. web Site.

E.L.G.A organisers will calculate and append the respective merit tables and publish all updates a.s.a.p after each event.

Participants must be under 18 years of age on the 1st January of the current year and be members of a bonified Golf Club with an active CONGU handicap.

Challenge Tour Competitions (within the host clubs junior open) must allow junior entries to all players within the allocated Tee Times, however the Max Handicap is 36 for both Girls & Boys.

Players will receive bonus entry points and more importantly , Positional Points for the first 20 Gross & Nett places in each junior open that is part of the scheme.
The added "Bonus Points" will be dependant on the Number Of Player Entries in each Open Competition.
Our 9 Hole club bonus entry points, will be Triple the 18 Hole club bonus points, again trying to improve club entry levels for the 9 Hole clubs.

Visiting players will compete on an equal footing for both Gross & Nett awards.

MAX HANDICAP - ALL JUNIORS IS 36 FOR THE TOUR.

E.L.G.A. Clubs who are taking part should follow the rules and proceedures as listed.
Club registration of Junior Opens within the scheme must be finalised before Sat.29th March 2014 for inclusion in the fixtures.

MERIT TABLES and POSITIONAL PLACINGS.
Gross & Nett Merit Tables will be published on this Web Site following each Junior Open that is included in the scheme.

The final merit tables will be adjusted such that no player can receive more than one prize.
The players highest table position, selected from both tables (Gross & Nett) will determine which table the player will be in and which table the name will be removed from.

Non E.L.G.A. Players for the E.L.G.A. Open Championship ( FINAL ROUND) will be by invitation/confirmed request to/by the leading positional players who have entered a minimum of 3 Junior Opens within the Challenge Tour.
